Foam absorber "Colore" - our foam acoustic panels for wall and ceiling
Our acoustic panels made of high-quality PUR-based foam achieve best results in noise protection and improve room acoustics. The attractive surface finish turns the acoustic panels into design elements for wall and ceiling.show more ....
What sound insulation do the elements achieve?
The open-cell structure allows sound waves to easily penetrate the foam. Thus, sound energy is converted and reduced, resulting in reduction of audible background noise. The exact measured values, which make a statement about the achievable sound insulation, are shown in our technical data sheets, which are part of the respective article description. For an improvement of the room acoustics, the correct installation on walls and ceiling is also necessary, see belowPossible applications for the foam acoustic panels
The foam elements can generally be applied as sound insulation to walls and ceilings of interior rooms. Waiting rooms in doctors' offices, at the pediatrician, in schools, refectories, training rooms, in offices, lecture halls, concert halls, in law offices, meeting rooms - everywhere where good room acoustics are important, our soundproofing elements can be used. In music rooms or home theaters, the elements can be perfectly complemented with our corner absorbers - we carry the broadband absorbers in foam and Basotect ®.
How is the arrangement on the wall and ceiling?
The best results are achieved when the foam absorbers "Colore" are placed on the wall and / or ceiling. In a meeting room with a meeting table in the center of the room, it is best to install the elements as a band at head height (sitting) on 2 opposite walls. In this way, the sound waves on their way from wall to wall are reduced each time they hit the sound absorbers, the sound energy is reduced, and the reverberation is reduced. In rooms with large glass surfaces or light bands, the elements are mainly to be installed on the ceiling. Also in rooms with public traffic, for example in a restaurant, an attachment to the ceiling is more suitable.
In the home theater, an arrangement behind the seating, to the right and left of the seating and above the seating on the ceiling is recommended to create a sound-absorbing "cave". This way, hardly any sound is reflected over the wall or ceiling, and the sound becomes clear and rich.
So the sound absorbers work best if you imagine the path of sound waves from the producer to the wall and ceiling, and arrange the elements in these areas flat. Each sound absorber reduces the sound energy of the sound waves hitting there and reduces the proportion of reflections. The sound waves behave within a room in a similar way to a billiard ball on a billiard table. It is necessary to interrupt the paths of the sound waves by sound absorbers.
